New Facility Promises Exciting Future for Popular Viatera® Line
Viatera® collection is an industry standard-bearer
For many within America's interior design and architectural community, the Viatera® collection is an industry standard-bearer for
consistent, fine-quality quartz surfaces. With demand in recent years outstripping production capacity, LG Hausys,
the manufacturer of the Viatera® line, recently opened a second Atlanta-area facility to both fulfill the flow of ever-increasing orders
and continue product innovation.
The move means that LG Hausys is well positioned to become the leading supplier of engineered quartz surfaces in the U.S.
It also means that designers, retailers and homeowners can look forward to exciting developments within the Viatera® collection
in the near future.
New colors, never-before-explored patterns and enhanced finishes that resonate with natural stone-like clarity - they form a range
of improvements resulting from new and innovative technology housed in the new facility.
"Quality, consistency and innovation have always led the way for the Viatera® collection," said LG Hausys President Kwang Jin Kim.
"We see a bright and exciting future for our products, and this new facility gives us the platform from which to launch into new territory."
Customers won't have to wait long to see the results. The plant is scheduled to open in mid-August, with new designs soon to follow.
Enhanced production capacity also means quicker processing of orders. Slab production is estimated to jump from an annual
average of 3.5 million square-foot to 8.2 million square-foot - all while keeping within improved standards of already high quality control.
"We see a prosperous future and shared success." - LG Hausys President Kwang Jin Kim
"Our products are popular among a wide range of customers, which makes it important for us to maintain and improve on our high
standards of consistency," says Kim. "The substantial investment in our new, state-of-the-art technology has really enhanced our
capabilities in this area."
The high-tech, 95,000 square-foot manufacturing facility has also led to the creation of many local jobs, with more expected to be
added in line with growing demand. At the same time, LG Hausys also expects dramatically reduced lead times, increased efficiency
in distribution and procurement of sustainable quartz surfaces.
"Our new facility also reflects our long-term commitment to the community," said Kim. "We see a prosperous future and shared success."
