TechTop, Embedded Surface Technology by LG Hausys
LG Hausys will reveal details of its TechTop, Wireless Charging Surfaces at 2014 Neocon
LG Hausys cordially invites you to be our special guest at Neocon and visit our booth #4102, located on the 8th floor of the Merchandise Mart starting June 9th, 2014 through June 11th, 2014. We will be unveiling TechTop, a new and innovative surface-embedded wireless charging technology that offers true convenience and mobility, helping you stay connected. Neocon will offer a preview of TechTop and demonstrate the value proposition within the commercial community as we embed TechTop into HI-MACS surface applications.
WHAT IS TECHTOP
Explore a whole new way to charge and stay connected.
- Simple & Smarter Way to Charge
You can charge your mobile phone by simply placing it on top of a TechTop Embedded HI-MACS Surface. The rate of charge automatically reduces once the battery is full to prevent damage and to extend battery life.
- Safe and Reliable
With TechTop, wireless charging maintains a safe transfer of power with built-in a high voltage and overheating detection. With no exposed conductor, there is minimal risk of fire hazard or electrical shock, making a safer environment for the entire family. LG Hausys offers a full year warranty for directly purchased items. All TechTop by LG Hausys are UL and FCC Standard Certified for international safety guidelines.
- Energy Saving & Low Maintenance Cost
Inductive charging allows the consumption of electricity to be minimal, providing a low cost, low maintenance surface solution for safe power transfer compared with the traditional cable-based contact method. Wireless charging helps mobile devices become more energy efficient and sustainable while reducing the number of disposable cables and batteries.
Qi Inductive Charging,
Universal Standard for Wireless Charging
Qi (pronounced "Chee") is the universal standard for wireless charging of battery operated mobile devices. The wireless power transfer occurs through electromagnetic induction. With inductive charging, electricity is transmitted wirelessly through the use of electromagnetic fields instead of traditional cables.
The principle is simple. The Qi enabled HI-MACS Surface houses a transmitter coil that transfers energy to your phone through a receiver coil. The alternating current in the transmitter generates a magnetic field that resonates with the receiver and induces voltage up to 5 watts powering the wireless charging technology.
The market for compatible devices is constantly growing as Qi wireless charging technology is adopted by expanding list of cellular carriers including Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.
It is all about convenience. TechTop is a fairly new concept to many of us as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth once were. However once you experience it, you will wonder how you ever lived without it. Qi Standard is the global platform for inductive wireless charging that will power up our future and allows us to stay connected.
Simply set your phone down on a HI-MACS surface embedded with TechTop - countertop, island, coffee table, vanity, bar top or any other space you can imagine and you're good to go. With a single connection hidden beneath the surface, you can keep the area clean and clutter-free, eliminating all those tangled wires or preoccupied power outlets. HI-MACS TechTop is a genuine solution for true mobility for those that want to stay connected.
